Material Handler

About this position

Gojob is hiring **Material Handlers** for a global logistics warehouse located in **Tallapoosa, GA**. You will be responsible for moving, storing, preparing, and assembling products in a warehouse for shipment and operating equipment such as a hand truck or pallet jack. Tasks & Responsibilities

**Responsibilities:** - Develop and provide excellent customer service at all times by responding promptly and professionally to customer needs - Execute various manual labor functions such as picking inventory, counting cargo, product and material and hand staging and loading good - Operate manual equipment such as hand truck or pallet jack. - Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within assigned area. - Prepare and assemble orders, move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. - Manage sorting and placement of materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets or in bins - Complete or verify forms, documents, labels and other information to ensure the accuracy of inventory - Monitor and track material and receiving and/or delivery of goods - Operate hand tools to close or open bales, build or tear down crates, and other containers or material - Monitor various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, cleaning docks, staging, packing, racking and related storage areas

Requirements

**Qualifications:** - High School Diploma or GED - Forklift Certification typically required in most operations within 3 to 6 months of hire - Valid state issued driver’s license preferred - Capable of operating hand and power tools and performing manual tasks - Basic proficiency in operating a computer - Ability to become forklift certified - Ability to perform in a team environment - Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents At Gojob, we celebrate workplace diversity.
