Gojob is hiring **Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster** for an auto insurance company located in **Phoenix, AZ.** In addition to the core skills of an Inside Claims Adjuster—such as determining coverage, liability, and damages— the Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster focuses on quickly building rapport with claimants and resolving bodily injury claims early in the process with little management involvement to control rising medical treatment costs. **Salary:** $62,000 - $64,000 based on experience

Tasks & Responsibilities

**Responsibilities:** - **Claims Best Practices (20%):** Understand and use Claims Best Practices in file handling to meet quality standards (measured by monthly audits and file reviews) - **Efficient Claims Management (20%):** Organize time and effort on files to minimize days to close, negotiate physical damage claims, and control expenses through proper repair management - **Customer Service (20%):** Provide excellent customer service by making quality decisions and conveying decisions to customers, peers, and managers (performance measured by customer feedback and complaints) - **Bodily Injury Claim Negotiation (30%):** Promptly resolve claims with Med Incurred and Open Med Release. Results will be based on cash out rates (ie. settlements of $1000 or less), closing percentages, and average days to resolve a bodily injury exposure. - **Professional Development (10%):** Develop attitudes, knowledge and skills while exhibiting the appropriate organization and communication skills required

Requirements

**Qualifications:** - **Education:** High School Diploma (required), College degree (preferred) - **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years handling automobile claims, with proven ability to resolve bodily injury claims quickly. - **Knowledge:** Familiarity with claims best practices, tort laws in states we do business in, fair claims practices, and Department of Insurance regulations, particularly each state’s fair claims practice act. Strong decision-making skills are essential for effective claims resolution. - **Skills:** Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access), typing speed of 30 WPM, and general office skills.
