Warehouse Supervisor

About this position

Outbound Warehouse Supervisor Responsibilities • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. • Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving products, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping. • Work closely with the location manager and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and follow through with implementation. • Work closely with the Inventory Manager and team to analyze our inventory and ensure we effectively utilize it. • Identifying problems and coming up with practical solutions quickly • Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues • Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices • Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency • Help the organization's processes remain legally compliant • Formulate strategic and operational objectives • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs • Recruit, train, and supervise staff • Find ways to increase the quality of customer service

Tasks & Responsibilities

MINIMUM REQUIRED: • HS Diploma/GED with two years of external supervisory experience and two years of experience working in a distribution or similar environment. • Knowledge of operations quality and safety programs

REQUIRED SKILLS: • Strong leadership and organizational skills. • Ability to motivate, delegate, and hold direct reports accountable to daily, weekly, and monthly production objectives. • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to adapt to various audiences • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Physical demands are consistent with a warehouse environment where this position will be exposed to cold, hot, and changing temperatures; will constantly experience noise at a medium level not damaging or loud enough to require protective equipment; will frequently be exposed to dust, dirt, and changes in lighting. • You may be required to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. (Additional weight may be required with assistance.) • Frequently walk throughout the warehouse to supervise employees.
