Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Tasks & Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Un-load all steel-coils from truck • Weigh all steel-coils received from supplier • Ensure that all coils and boxes are labeled • Load and pre-stage the coils on the press when required • Carry Inventory count periodically • Assist during annual physical count of inventory • Observe safety policies • Ensure work environment is safe and clean • Follow ISO/TS-16949 policies and procedures • Quality of workmanship • Recommend or provide solutions to problems • Miscellaneous duties include: o Support production as required by running a machine, weighing boxes for production and material o RM all material before it crosses the wall into shipping o Ensure FIFO is practiced; ensure sorters have enough material o Pull orders for shipment o Load and unload trucks, Boxes and Pallets o Labeling- double check always o Wrapping o Take scrap out
