Production Worker/Shucker

About this position

Gojob is hiring a Production Worker/Shucker for a seafood manufacturing company in New Bedford, MA. You will be responsible for shucking clams. Tasks & Responsibilities

- Shucks and cleans the appropriate amounts of bushels/boat and brings to Q.C.tech. - Cleans shucking room constantly and raw cooler. - Back up to operator (Shucking Crew Leader). - Has an off-lunch period so the shucking room and cooler can be cleaned. - Helps rotate breaks in shucking area

Requirements & Benefits

Requirements: - Must be eligible to work in the US - High School or equivalent training and /or work experience prefer - Basic oral and written communication skills - Detail oriented - Basic math and reading skills - Apron, gloves, hair and facial hair mask, ear plugs, and face masks required while working Physical Demands: - Lifting or carrying, pushing, or pulling, reaching, up to 100% of work shift - Walking, bending, pushing, reaching, and lifting 50 lbs. (additional weight may be required with assistance) - Standing, walking, or moving about, up to 100% of work shift - Noise level generated from other conveyor machine activity can be loud at times - The temperature in the work area can vary At Gojob, we celebrate workplace diversity.
